Mental health of young people still under pressure
The 2023 Youth Health Monitor shows that in Lansingerland, 32.9% of young people experience psychological complaints, 50.3% have stress, and 31.9% feel lonely. These figures are above the national average. Recent national studies from 2025 show that the mental health of young people is still under pressure, with persistently high levels of stress and loneliness.
From playing games to making games
Within the Bandits Creation program, participants work in teams to develop real team-building games for companies and groups. By working together on concrete assignments, young people develop skills, discover their talents, and build their self-confidence.
Learning by doing
The team-building games that participants create are actually played. In doing so, young people not only gain experience but also immediately produce something that matters.
βMany young people who are stuck have more potential than they think,β says founder Wouter van der Zeijden. βBy creating something together and being given responsibility, you see them start taking steps. That provides energy and perspective.β
Start pilot
With the pilot in Lansingerland, we are taking a first step to further develop this approach. In this way, we are looking in an innovative way at how we can get young people moving again. In the coming period, we will actively seek collaboration with local partners, schools, and organizations to further expand the program. If you are interested in working together, please contact us.
